Amy’s Fraud Files

Amy had the power to stop Minnesota’s fraud crisis. Instead, she made it worse.

Fraud is the defining issue in Minnesota, and voters have made clear they want the next governor to take it seriously.
Amy Klobuchar had both the seniority and the committee position to push for answers. As a senior member of the Senate committee overseeing federal food and nutrition programs, she had jurisdiction over programs tied to the Feeding Our Future scandal. Yet…she did not call a single hearing, open an investigation, or press for answers about how the crisis exploded.
Amy had plenty of opportunities to ask hard questions and demand accountability. She didn’t. Now, after years of silence and missed chances to act, she wants Minnesotans to believe she’ll fix the fraud crisis she failed to confront.

Amy Klobuchar partnered with Ilhan Omar to earmark over $1 million in taxpayer money to a Somali non-profit that is under investigation for fraud. The non-profit’s directors are three people who live in the same house, with a relative who tried to join ISIS.

Between January 2022 and the end of 2025, not one of Amy Klobuchar’s more than 1,000 press releases addressed Minnesota’s fraud scandal. Now she wants voters to believe she’s taking the crisis seriously.

Amy spent years fighting to keep remittance channels to Somalia open, making overseas money transfers easier. As Minnesota’s fraud crisis exploded, criminals relied on these channels to funnel stolen taxpayer money back to Somalia.

Federal investigators warned that money stolen from Minnesota taxpayers may have reached foreign terrorist organizations through the remittance system Amy Klobuchar helped create, using the remittance structure co-authored by Amy Klobuchar.
